Archaeology
Jerusalem — the City of David, the City of God — stands at the center of biblical history and prophecy. For three thousand years it has been the spiritual heart of the Jewish people and the site of the most pivotal events in human history. Today, archaeology continues to confirm the biblical record.
The Eastern or Golden Gate of the city. In Ezekiel 10:18–19, the prophet sees the glory of God leave the temple through the Eastern Gate of the LORD's House and leave the city. In Ezekiel 44:1–2, he predicted the gate will be sealed up until the Messiah returns.

Jesus predicted "That not one stone of the temple would be left upon another" in Matthew 24. This is some of the rubble uncovered after the Romans dumped its stones from the Herodian platform above in 70 A.D.
